Grilled Steak and Shrimp in garlic butter—your favorite Surf & Turf made easy in just 15 minutes! Restaurant-quality flavor, perfect for cooking on the BBQ or the Prepd Grill Lid.
Ingredients
- 6 TBS Unsalted Butter
- 1 TBS Garlic (minced)
- 1 TBS Fresh Parsley (chopped)
- 1 TBS Olive Oil
- 4 New York Strip Steaks
- 1 Pinch Salt
- 1 Pinch Pepper
- 1/2 lb Shrimp (deveined, tails on or off)
Instructions
- Make Garlic Butter:
In a small bowl, mix softened butter with minced garlic and chopped fresh parsley. Refrigerate until ready to use. - Prep the Steaks:
Preheat a grill or grill pan over high heat and lightly grease the grill plates with oil. Pat steaks dry with paper towel, brush lightly with oil, and season generously with salt and pepper. - Grill the Steaks:
Grill steaks for 4–5 minutes per side, or until browned and cooked to your preferred doneness. Spread half the garlic butter over the steaks while hot. Transfer to a warm plate and let rest for 5 minutes. - Cook the Shrimp:
While steaks rest, melt the remaining garlic butter. Season shrimp with salt and pepper. Reduce grill heat to medium. Grill shrimp for 5–6 minutes, flipping halfway, until pink on the outside and white and opaque inside. - Finish and Serve:
Toss grilled shrimp with remaining garlic butter. Serve immediately with the rested steaks.
Tips
Recommended steak cuts: Strip, Sirloin, Ribeye, T-bone, Eye Fillet, Scotch Fillet, or Porterhouse.
Shrimp can be tail-on or off. If using frozen, thaw and pat dry before grilling.
